This sppl~o&tionwouldbe for $750,000 to <br />be u~ea to funds housing rehabtl/tationgrant program. <br /> <br />The Department of Housing ami Redevelopment (HUD) provides <br />funding of this type to low tncc~e, working poor families <br />and senior ci~Lzens. This type of fun~/ng would b~ usa~ to <br /> <br />make health and safety improvements to their homes ar~ to <br />bring sub-standard housing up ~o building code re~m/rements. <br /> <br />According to Met~opoXt~anCouncil, there are approximately <br />4,600 he,as ln Anoka County which ~onotmee~ curren~ building <br /> <br />It is the intent of the County Board to provide assistance <br />=o all municipaXiCies in securLng grant funds of this nature, <br />in particular ~hose communities that do not have operating <br />H.RoA. Boards.
