Councilman Sorteberg said he felt this is poor planning to start on a back <br />parcel. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson said the council is ignoring their consultant's report <br />and the P & Z Commission's recommendations. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he felt until the situation is resolved on the lots on <br />Geranium, the matter should be tabled. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann said a variance would have to be given regarding the <br />cul-de-sac. He said he thought the ordinance was interpreted the wrong <br />way regarding this. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said if there is a fire back there, there will <br />be a liability problem for the city. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the access problem. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to direct <br />city staff to prepare findings of fact for Meadowbrook'Estates regarding <br />the issue of public health, welfame and safety, the cul-de-sac, the problem <br />with assessments and any other'problem the findings-~of f&ct reve~l. <br /> <br />Motion crrried. Voting yes-Mayom Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said regarding the special assessments, the <br />city attorney would have to find out about Mrs. Carter's problems and <br />this has to be contingent upon these problems being worked out and Mrs. Carter <br />has created the problem herself. <br /> <br />6) Variance to Subdivide a Portion of Parcel 6000 into Two Parcels-7025 <br /> <br />and Parcel 6220'and Granting Variance for Building Permit Pertaining to <br /> <br />'Mr.' August'Peltzer;-'Case'of~Planning'and'Zoning-Commission and'Council <br /> <br />Action of 'March 14~ 1977 <br /> <br />There was much discussion on this request. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he didn't have any problem with it,' but it has to be <br />recorded. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to adopt <br />Resolution #80-66 Granting a Variance to Subdivide a Portion of Parcel 6000 <br />into Two Parcels 7025 and Parcel 6220 and Granting variance for Building <br />Permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />The park fee was determined to be taken care of. <br /> <br />Second Parcel of Mr. Peltzer not on Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman REimann to Adopt <br />Resolution #80-64 to split lots H g I by mete~ and bounds and have recorded as ~ch. <br /> <br />C/July 8, 1980 <br /> Page 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
