The council discussed Ramsey's market valuations as compared to the rest <br />of the county. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to set up a <br />meeting with City and County Assessors prior to their reassessing certain <br />areas of the city and upgrading current market valuations. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />13) Joint Powers Agreement Regarding Cable TV <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution #80-68 Authorizing Participation in the Anoka/ChamPlin/ <br />Ramsey Cable TV Commission and appointing Mayor Gamec to sign Joint Powers <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor. Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW'BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) Request for Conditional Use Permit to Operate a Beauty Shop in an <br /> <br />R-1 District; Case of Ms~ Bonnie Abel, 5210 - 155th Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to <br />direct city staff to prepare findings of fact to bring back to the next <br />council meeting on July 22, 1980. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen.Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />2) Request for Conditional Use Permit to Operate a General Rental Center; <br />'Case of Mr.''JOh~ Janso~'6745 Highway'#10'N~W''(Plat 89324, ~Parcels '3850 <br /> <br />and 3950) <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec commented that Mr. Janson did a very good job of putting the <br />application together. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle explained that this is not a permitted <br />use in B-1 District. He said the ordinance as it reads now concerning <br />B-1 is very restrictive and will be a problem down the pike. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to <br />direct city staff to prepare findings of fact to bring back to the next <br />council meeting on July 22, 1980. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
