Ms. Abel said she would make a place for customers to park and a <br />turnaround. <br /> <br />Art Dunn asked Ms. Abel what her hours of operation would be. <br /> <br />Ms. Abel said her hours would be by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays, <br />Thursdays and Fridays. She said Sue Johnson would be the only beauty operator. <br /> <br />Ben Deemer asked Ms.'Abel if she would be leasing the operation to Sue Johnson. <br /> <br />Ms. Abel said they would be in business together, but Sue Johnson will run <br />the business. <br /> <br />Ms. Johnson said the State Board of Hair Dressers has to approve the <br />beauty shop also. <br /> <br />Art Dunn said he saw no problem with accepting everything. <br /> <br />Motion by Ben Deemer and seconded by Harry Ellis to recommend to the <br />City Council that a conditional use permit be issued to Ms. Bonnie Abel to <br />operate a beauty shop in her home at 5210 - 155th Avenue N.W. and that a <br />Home Occupation Permit Agreement be entered into conditioned and contingent <br />upon the Permittee complying with the following: <br /> <br />1) The applicant shall permit no on-street parking of her customers. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The applicant shall construct a turnamound in the driveway for <br />customers leaving the premises. The driveway turnaround need not <br />be blacktop, but a material such as Class V or crushed limerock. <br />There shall not be a second driveway constructed to the Permittee's <br />premises to be used as a customer tumnaround. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The Permittee shall be all6wed to install a sign not to exceed <br />two (2) square feet on the Permittee's premises and to be <br />placed as to the direction of the beauty shop entrance. <br /> <br />The home occupation shall be carried on by a member of the family <br />residing in the dwelling unit with not more than one employee <br />who is not part of the family. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />The Building Official of the city shall inspect the beauty shop <br />premises to insure that it meets code prior to commencement of <br />operation. <br /> <br />6) The Permittee understands and agrees there shall be a fire <br /> extinguisher installed in the beauty shop work area. <br /> <br />7) <br /> <br />The Permittee unders%ands and agpees that the Home Occupation <br />Permit granted herein is subject to review at any time and any <br />violation of the conditions contained herein or violation of any <br />other city regulation maybe, cause for immediate revocation of <br />this home occupation permit.
