'¢ Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br /> <br />I,~. ~r'~ ~o~o~ <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Johnson: <br /> <br />Re: I~spection of .~oka Mu~icipal Sanitary Landfill, Minnesota 'Solid <br /> W~-u~te Disposal Facility Permit <br /> <br />This confi~s that an inspection of the above-referenced facility was con- <br />ducted by Minnesota Pollution Control Agency staff on August 12, ~980. <br /> <br /> During this inspection no violation of your Agency permit was noted. <br /> However, since this inspection, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br /> has received complaints that water has been allowed to po~d in several <br /> low spots on 'the top portion of the landfill. Be advised that Agency <br /> staff will closely observe this problem, and intend to note a violation <br /> Minn. Rule SW-6(2)(e) each time water is pon, ded in excess of 48 ho~rs <br /> after a rainstorm. '. <br /> <br />~is letter also serves to confirm the Agency's involvement in the gas <br />migration problem at the landfill. As.you are well aware, Anoka. CoUnty, <br />Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Pollution .Control Agency and <br />yo~zr ov~ staff are now conducting investigations and research to <br />determine the severity of this problem.
