BOX CAR ZONING VIOLATION ON. HIGHWAY #10 ACROSS FROM TH~ WEIGH STATION <br /> <br />The City has had no cooperation from the individual involved. Consensus <br />of the Council was that the Building Official's decision be delayed in <br />order for the individual to present detailed site plan to the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission at its next meeting which is August 4, 1980. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said this again was arbitrary to enforce, when the City <br />allows businesses in the R-1 areas and makes no attempt to regulate them. <br />He pointed out the landscape business on 175th which is a violation of the <br />City Code. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle discussed the Ed Hanson situation. Mr. Hanson <br />advised City Administrator Schnelle that he drove around the City and found <br />worse situations than his and he said he was being picked on. <br /> <br />ELECTION JUDGE APPOINTN[ENTS <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorte~erg to appoint <br />those persons as presented on the list in the Council's agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Uayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, L[ickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />CO~UNITY BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said we should tell the County we will cooperate with them <br />if they will reciprocate in grants we need support on. City Administrator <br />Schnelle will write a letter to the County so advising of .the Council's <br />position. <br /> <br />k~TRO COUNCIL GUIDELINES FOR REVIEW OF PROPOSED AMENDk~ENT TO COMPREHENSIVE <br /> <br />PLAN <br /> <br />A general discussion on the nature of the proposed guidelines was held. <br />was pointed out that if the guidelines are adopted as presented, local <br />goverr~nent will in effect be a thing of the past. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to prepare a <br />resolution objecting to the imposition of any new guidelines as proposed <br />and that a map be prepared to accompany the resolution, and to adopt <br />resolution #80-74 regarding this subject. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Umyor Gamec,. Councilmen Sorteberg, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Cox.
