minnesota oi ies <br /> <br />August 15, 1980 <br /> <br />LEAGUE REGIONAL MEETINGS <br /> <br /> September 16 through October 15 <br /> <br />TO: All Member Officials <br /> (c/o City Clerk) <br /> <br />This letter is to alert you to the 1980 series of regional meetings sponsored by the <br />League, so that you will be able to make arrangements to attend. <br /> <br />The traditional "dutch treat" dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by the identification <br />and discussion of legislative issues and League legislative policies, and the usual <br />question and answer session, with participation by Senators, Representative Candidates <br />and members of several state agencies and the League staff. You are encouraged to attend <br />the meeting with candidates from your district. (See the attached sheet for date and <br />location). Nearer the date of your regional meeting your city will receive'an official <br />invitation and dinner reservation card from the host mayor in your area. It is important <br />that you make a reservation with the host mayor. <br /> <br />In addition to the evening meeting, there will be an informal roundtable discussion for <br /> ty clerks and any other interested parties, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.mo The purpose <br />of this meeting is to exchange information informally on any topics of local interest. <br />The League's insurance program, city safety and liability issues and the League's energy <br />and noise program will be discussed at the afternoon meeting° There is no charge for <br />this meeting and any city or county official is w~lcome. <br /> <br />A large representation from your city will insure a lively and profitable discussion. <br />I will look forward to seeing you there. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Donald A.
