LETTERS AND COMMUNICATIONS

No coNNnents.

STAFF REPORTS

City Assessor Wirz reported that his car has died and he will be driving his
own car and turning in mileage.

Building Official Berg said 3 or 4 permits were issued for smaller-type housing.
COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS

~) Metro Council Guidelines for Reviewing of Proposed Amendments to Local
Comprehensive Plan~

Councilman Cox reported that the County is interested in the possibility of
getting some funding for providing some type of instrument for processing
methane gas at the landfill. He asked if the city feels that it has the
resources to do something like this.

Mayor Gamec said he was in favor of looking into it.

City Administrator Schnelle said this would not be too expensive to do.

Mayor Gamec instructed City Administrator Schnelle to gather more information
on this issue and to get back to City Council on it.

Councilman Cox asked if the council was going to work with Metro Council
to keep the 2½ acre lot size.

Maygr Camec said regarding lot size, the Critical River Area is the problem.
He thought if the city goes with the four acres, they can get that through.

Councilman Sorteberg suggested changing the line on the map and making it
an "urban" area instead of "rural".

Mayor Gamec noted that from what Metro Council Chairman Weaver said, the
Comprehensive Plan is easier to work with than the Critical Rivers.
Four-acre lots, just one tier back, has a lot better chance, but he felt
the council should look at the line change on the map.

2) Lee Landscaping

This is in regards to approving an extension of time to complete necessary
work to satisfy site and design plan agreement between Lee's Landscaping
& Nursery and the City of Ramsey.

Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to
amend the agreement between Lee's Landscaping and N~rsery and the City of
Ramsey to be in compliance as of August l, 1981.

Motion carried.
