September ?, 1980 Lloyd Schnelle City Administrator City of P, amsey Anoka, ?,?inn. 5~303 Dear Lloyd I am writing you once more in regards to the smell and noise coming from the methane pumping station behind our home. I wrote you once before, on August 25th, regarding this problem. On August 31st George came in from working outside, he claime~ the smell was so strong he felt sick to his stomach. I called I'.iayor Games, who then sent out 0fficier Anderson, nothing was accomplished. On Sept. 2nd at 10:30 pm I returned home from shopping, when I opened the car door the smell was atrocious in the front yard. Fortunately, 'the air conditioning was on at the time. 0n Sept. 3rd, at 10am, I could-easily detect the odor in my kitchen. I would like it noted that I had a headache at the time, On Sept. '6th' at ?:50pm, the smell was so overwhelming in our home 'that I called I;~arilyn Gallagher, Dan Hatch and Arvin Hansma~mn over to tell me if they could detect it. At the time I was feeling light-headed. As soon as they walked in the door they were aware of the smell. Marilyn Gatlagher called Art Dunn, he said that he did not have his meter at home and told ?~er ~,.,e should close up the house and turn on the air-cond.. ~,']arilyn then called you and you tried without success to contact WI~[I and Ed Fields. You were able to contact Bob Hut- chinson, who called me. It became apparent that no matter how concerned you all were there was no action you could take. I found that knowledge very frightening. During this time [~arilyn Gallagher developed a headache. Art Dunn somehow mana~.ed to get his meter and came out to our home. He found only small readings and yet he was able to smell the odor. You called me gack and informed me that this matter would be on the adgenda for l.[onday night's council meeting, for this I am very grateful.
