1 to6 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />New Modest-Cost Housing Achievements - <br />Municipalities are awarded points upon <br />verification of new modest-cost housing units <br />rented or homesteaded within their <br />jurisdiction for the first time during the <br />previous calendar year. When the number of <br />units represents a percentage of the city's <br />metropolitan fair share new modest-cost* <br />private market housing goal, points will be <br />awarded as follows: <br /> <br />10+ percent- 6 points <br />6-9 percent - 4 points <br />3-5 percent - 2 points <br /> <br />* The Council will adjust the unit Value and <br />rent limit for modest-cost housing annually <br />based upon HUD determined income categories <br />for the SMSA. <br /> <br />Alt'ernative ~{ousing Types - <br />Municipalities are ranked according to the <br />percentage of their total new housing unit or <br />occupancy permits issued in the previous <br />calendar year for dwelling units Other than <br />traditional, detached single-family homes, <br />such as all forms of attached housing, mobile <br />homes or zero-lot line units. The <br />municipality must have permitted at ]-east five <br />new units or a number which represents .5 <br />percent of its housing stock, whichever is <br />greater. <br /> <br />Housing For Special Needs - <br />M6nicipalities are awarded two points if: <br />1) within their jurisdiction, federal, state, <br />county or local funds or those of a non-profit <br />organization have been used to purchase and <br />operate residential units to provide licensed <br />housing for temporary residents on an <br />emergency basis, or for the placement of adult <br />offenders or adjudicated delinquents; or 2) a <br />publicly subsidized or non-profit group home <br />licensed by the Department of ~ealth or <br />Department of Public Welfare which provides <br />temporary or permanent housing for the <br />physically handicapped, mentally ill, mentally <br />retarded or chemically dependent is located <br />in the community. <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br /> <br />
