ORDINANCE 80-8 <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A~IENt~ENT T~0iCHAPTER 210.01 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE "STREET <br />CHAPTER OF TI~t~ CITY CODE <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 210.01 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />The City Council ~'~"of the City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br /> A. Section 210.01 FINANCING ARTERIAL STREETS WI <br /> Paragraph 2 shall be amended to read as fo <br /> <br />MINNESOTA <br /> <br />LOTS FRONTING <br /> <br /> 2. Upgrading of arterial streets lying on the city's <br /> thoroughfare~system and only benef~ a localized area <br /> shall be fin~ced by aid assessment of the <br /> benefiting property. Assessment shall be made on a unit <br /> area basis wit~assessments on~ eveloped property lying <br /> within the area ~eing "deferr~" until time of development <br /> for a maximum per~od of five 5) years. Assessments shall <br /> be made to the extent to co costs not available from <br /> other sources. ~ <br />Section 210.014 FINANCIN@, RESIDENTIAL AND INDUSTRIAL STREETS <br />shall be amended to read follows: <br /> <br />210.014 FINANCING AND INDUSTRIAL STREETS \ <br />1) Replacement of~ residential and industrial streets <br /> which do not~ . as c~lectors shall be financed by <br /> assessing th ~ ~~~' ~ p~perty on a front foot or unit <br /> basis. ~q~t~ ~ ~ <br /> <br />2) For the of establishing a replacement policy for <br />streets is hereby determined that the estimated <br />usable ire of a street shall ~e fifteen (15) years from <br /> the da~e of initial constructio~ to the date of the pro- <br /> posed/reconstruction. ~ <br />3) Whe~ the condition of a street surface has deteriorated <br /> to/the point where excessive mainte~uce cost is incurred <br /> b~" the City, or a majority of abutti~ residents request <br /> ~an improvement, the City Council may O~der a public hear- <br /> /ing on proposed improvements for that ~eet.
