Included are: <br /> <br />A copy of Governor Quie's Proclamation to display in city hall or at <br />some prominent place, or in conjunction with a luncheon or program. <br />The Proclamation can be used as a model for preparing a Mayor's <br />Proclamation recognizing the day. <br /> <br />Six copies of a brochure with a suggested theme, or emphasis, which can <br />be used for display, enlarged, if desired, or reproduced in larger quantities <br />to hand out at an open house, for example. There is a possibility that the <br />League could send more copies if requests are received before October 10. <br /> <br />A sample press release which needs to be adapted to your local plans and <br />activities. Publicity by the various media sources is vital to the success <br />of your program. <br /> <br />4. A review of suggested activities for Local Government Day. <br /> <br />Good luck in your endeavors. Have 'someone take notes and pictures to send to <br />the League office so we can report on your observance of the Day.
