Council~mn MJckelson introduced the following resolution and moved for its opt ~ on: RESOLUTION #80- 117 ADOPTING RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CITIZENS COMMITTEE TO PREPARE GUIDELINES TO ADMINISTER HUD BLOCK GRANT WHEREAS, Anoka County has qualified as an Urban County which qualifjes it for the HUD Urban Block Grant, and BqtEREAS, Anoka County has become the administrator of the HUD Urban Block Grant. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TKE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) That the Ram~ey City Council requests the Anoka County Board to establish a Citizens Committee and which committee will be made up of one representative from each community. The purpose of this committee would be as follows: a) b) To prepare guddelines for the County to administer the grant. To prepare simplified guddelines for the Communities to use in applying for the HUD Urban Block Grant. c) To assure that all communities are treated fairly in the distribution of the grant. 2) That the City Administrator send a copy of this resolution to Commissioner Fieids and the County Administrator. Further that it be pi. aced on the Anoka County Board agenda for their action and that the City of Ramsey be informed of this action. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Sorteberg and upon vote being taken there'on, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, ]~ckelson, Reimann and Cox and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed amd adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of September, 1980.
