Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br /> July 2004 <br /> <br />General Police Statistics and H,i.qhli.qhts <br /> <br />Animal Control <br /> <br />Seven dogs were contained in July. Six were released to their owners and one <br />was adopted. <br /> <br />Public Nuisance Ordinance Update <br /> <br />The Public Nuisance Ordinance as it relates to nuisances affecting public peace <br />(noise disturbances which include dirt bikes) will be introduced at the next regular <br />City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Safety Camp <br /> <br />Ramsey hosted 110 kids from the Anoka-Ramsey area at safety camp held at <br />the Boy Scout camp in Ramsey. Although the heat index was 100+ degrees, the <br />hottest summer days so far this year--we still had a great time! Our kids learned <br />about "Animal Defenses" from the Como Zoo, how to be safe around guns (Eddie <br />Eagle Program), how to protect yourself from a possible attacker or abductor, <br />preventing brain injuries and burns, bike and electrical safety, and water safety at <br />the Champlin LifeTime Fitness. Sgt. Joe Lash from Minneapolis Park Police <br />gave a powerful "Take 2" presentation on using seat belts at our Award BBQ <br /> <br />-12- <br /> <br /> <br />
