The proposed addition would exceed the side and rear yard setbacks. However, the existing <br />detached garage is located in the front yard, nearer the front property line than the home. <br />Therefore, the applicant also applied for a variance for the location of the addition. The Board of <br />Adjustment approved the variance request at their September 2, 2004 meeting. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The City has received a complaint regarding off-street parking and condition of premises matters <br />on the subject property and is currently working with the applicant to bring the property into <br />compliance with these ordinances. The Planning Commission noted this and determined that this <br />request and the code enforcement case are two separate matters and that the overage requested is <br />not unusually large.
