Question: "~a6 has Anoka done with tke areas designated as an in-
dustrial

Answer: This section is no> a part of Anoka as yet so they could not
have done anyt,hlng about

Question: "What is Anoka doing to induce indistr~ to locate in this
area?

Answer: The Chamber of Commerce has keen active both. as to this sec-
tion and the section north of it. They are trying, to do 'this in a
private group instead of the City of Anoka. The broader the industrial
basis the easier it will be on the local residents. An effort p~ust be
made to get 'the state to return tax money for the local school district.
Some kind of a formula has to be devised. Industry doesn't want to come
into a district where the tax~s are so high.

The .people in the City of Anoka are afraid of the same things as the
residents of Ramsey Township.

~uestion: "Is it true that Anoka is trying to buy more land out here?"

The land fill is being leased by Anoka for ~1200 a month. It was stated
'that three neighbors called for a week before anyone came out to pick
up the litter being left on the road on the way to the landfill. Ano~ther
resident said the renter of the landfill was not covering the materials
left at the dump each day and also that much paper and litter was being
left along the roadsides. Mr~ Gesko said he would check into this.

Mr. ~3carborough asked if Ramsey Township preferred to retain R~A if
that would be possibte.~ The answer was that the City of Anoka Council
would want to use their own service.

The next meeting will be in two weeks. The Town BOard and the Fact-
Finding Committee will give their ideas and explain their viewpoints.

Ne×t meeting March a?th. Meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.~

Respectfully submitted,
