10130 HIGHWAY 65 NORTHEAST, MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA 55433

September 10, 1970

LAND SURVEYORS

Telephone
784- 5480

Township of Ramsey, Anoka County
c/o Ralph Etienne '
R.R. #13
Anoka, Hinnesota 55303

Gentlemen:

NCH:ges
enc.

The City of Anoka power,a~l light dePartment has asked that I
survey a profile and location map for a proposed 69,000 Volt power
line around the City of Anoka ~nd the .adjoining areas.

At the present time the p~ropoSed route, would follow the section
line immediately South of the tOwn:hall for the .Township of Ramsey.
This line is proposed to conne¢{ the Crooked Lake sub-station on
Itighway 242 and County Road No. 9 with the highline coming through
H. & S. Asphalt.

The description in the easement covers a 25 foot strip of land
along the South line of the tract of land now occupied by the town
hall. I realize that there are.~some rather large trees along that
strip of land and according to,i~he-terms of this particular easement,
the City of Anoka would have the r~ght to cut, trim, or eliminate
the trees if necessary. However,~ProVisions can be made to only trim
the trees to a minimum height,~and that height ~an be dete~ined by
mutual agreement with the Town,Board. We will be using 70 foot poles
and it is possible to go to ev?n larger Poles and leave the trees.

I would appreciate it if th~s~easement could be considered at
the next Town Board ~eting and~p.resented to the Planning Commission
if necessary so a power line can be constructed Within the very near
future. I may add the ease~nt ha~ already been acquired South of
the town hall.

Thank you for your cooperation.

. Yours ~rul~
