Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #17-03-057 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PLANS AND <br /> SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-00, SUNWOOD DRIVE <br /> RECONSTRUCTION <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution 416-08-139, adopted August 8, <br /> 2016, the City Engineer prepared a Feasibility Report for City Improvement Project 417-00 <br /> which proposes improvements to Sunwood Drive between Ramsey Boulevard/ County State Aid <br /> Highway 56 and Bunker Lake Boulevard/County Road 116 including reconstruction of <br /> bituminous pavement, replacement of damaged concrete curb and gutter, and other appurtenant <br /> work as needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution 417-01-028, adopted <br /> January 24, 2017, the Feasibility Report was received and preliminarily accepted, pending input <br /> from impacted property owners, and a Public Hearing was ordered for February 14, 2017 at 7 <br /> p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in <br /> accordance with the revised Feasibility Report; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council motions adopted February 14 and <br /> February 28, 2017, the Public Hearing was postponed until March 14, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br /> cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City <br /> Charter, applicable City codes, and the City of Ramsey's adopted Special Assessments Policy; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br /> improvements as required by law; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a Public Hearing for the proposed <br /> improvements on March 14, 2017. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br /> Report accepted by Council on March 14, 2017. <br /> 2) Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City Charter, applicable <br /> City codes, and the City of Ramsey's adopted Special Assessments Policy, benefiting <br /> properties shall be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, which <br /> have an estimated total cost of$607,000. <br />
