Voting No: None. <br /> 7.04: Consider Adopting Resolution #17-03-068 to Hire a Part-Time Building <br /> Maintenance Worker <br /> Human Resources Manager Lasher reviewed the staff report and recommendation to authorize <br /> staff to move ahead with hiring Mr. Randall Heaton as a part-time Building Maintenance <br /> Worker, effective on or near April 12, 2017, at $17.65 per hour, which is step 1 of the 2017 wage <br /> scale. <br /> Councilmember Riley stated that although he is usually reluctant to hire additional employees, he <br /> believed that this would be a good addition because this shows that the public spaces are being <br /> used more by the public and this position will have a direct benefit to the community. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to adopt Resolution <br /> #17-03-068 to Hire a Part-Time Building Maintenance Worker. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Riley, Kuzma, Johns, <br /> LeTourneau, Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None. <br /> 7.05: Consider Adopting Resolution #17-03-067 to Hire a Part-Time Economic <br /> Development Administrative Assistant <br /> Human Resources Manager Lasher reviewed the staff report and recommendation to authorize <br /> staff to move ahead with hiring Ms. Katie Schmidt as part-time Economic Development <br /> Administrative Assistant, effective on or near April 12, 2017, at $20.16 per hour which is step 1 <br /> of the 2017 wage scale. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Johns, seconded by Councilmember Shryock, to adopt Resolution <br /> #17-03-067 to Hire a Part-Time Economic Development Administrative Assistant. <br /> Motion carried.
