Absent: Commissioners Hep&e and <br /> <br />Case #3: Scheduling Future Meeting Dates <br /> <br />Commissioner Darlene Milless presented her letter of resignation fi'om the Commission, <br />e£fective December 31, 2003, due to her moving out of the City o£.Ramsey <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner.Ebel to accept the resignation <br />of Commissioner Darlene Milless, effective December 31, 2003 and to authorize staff to <br />advertise 'to fill the vacancy. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />LaMer< Milless and Swanson. <br />Simenson, <br /> <br />Chairperson Vogt, Commissioners Deemer, Ebel, Bertzyk, <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Comrnissioners Henke and <br /> <br />City Cleric Thielmg rep9rted that she had received a phone call from Commissioner Marguerite <br />Henl<'e several months ago indicating her plan to move from the City of Ramsey, therefore, she <br />would }De resigning. Mrs. Thieling asked her to submit a letter of resignation, however, that was <br />never received. Clerk Th/ding wasn't sure if Ms. Henke had moved yet or not. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ebel stated that she had talked with Ms. Henke and she has. indeed moved out of <br />the City. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to accept the report of Cormnissioner Ebel and City Clerk <br />Thicling and declare a vacancy created by Ms. Henke moving out of town. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Swanson and seconded by Commissioner Ebel to authorize staff to fill <br />the second vacancy on the Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Further discussion: The Commission asked that the City Clerk check to see if any of the <br />Commission members had terms set to expire soon. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Vogt, Commissioners Swanson, Ebel, Bertzyk, <br />Deemer. LaMere and Mil. less. Voting No: None. Absent: Con-m~issioner Simenson. <br /> <br />Commissioner Vogt proposed doing the same interviewing process as we did for Commissioner <br />Simenson which is to review the letters and if there are several, the top candidates will be chosen <br />to interview. The interviewing will be done by the Chair and Vice Chair and a recommendation <br />wilt be made at the next Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Vogt, seconded by Commissioner Deemer to run an ad to fill the <br />vacancies in thc .inokc~ LO?ion, Rm~se); Resident, the City's community si~2, the City's website, <br />and on ( ;hanr~ets 1 5 and 16 of QCTV. <br /> <br />Ch after Co~nmission/Nove~nber 20, 2003 <br /> Page 3 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
