houses will ~naintain the existing house setback and conform to the adjacent structure setbacks.
The variance was sent to the DNR for their approval and certification.

Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Board of Adjustment meeting at 7:10 p.m. in
order to conduct the public hearing.

Public Hearing

Chairman Nixt called the public hearing to order at 7:10 p.m.

Citizen Input

Richard Dahhnan, applicant, indicated as a point of clarification, Countryside Homes is actually
taking title to the two lots and then building the homes. The homes that will be built to replace
thc one there will be in the same position on the property as the existing home. This places the
home further back fi'om the river than the rest of the houses along the rest of Bowers Drive,'other
than thc home that is immediately adjacent.

Chairperson Nixt asked if the existing garage will remain.

Mr. Dahhnan replied the garage will be removed as well. The new homes will have attached
.garages.

Chairperson Nixt asked if the existing drainage field will be abandoned with the new drainage
fields in the confines of each respective lot.

Mr. Dahlman replied that is correct.

Chah-person Nixt questioned if the septic meets the requirernent setbacks, as he thought 150 feet
was the minimum setback for septic.

Associate ?lanner Wald indicated she will research the requirements.

Board Member Van Scoy asked if the other lots are ofa similar width.

Associate ?lanner Wald replied they are basically all 100-foot width lots, except those that were
odd shaped on curves.

Chairperson Nixt commented he has seen a few of these in the last three or four years. He
indicated he is inclined to grant the variance subject to making sure the septic system is in
compliance with the requirements.

Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Board Member Watson, to close the public hearing.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Member Watson, Brauer, Jeffrey and Van
Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Johnson and.
