<br />CASE # 3 <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR AN INTERIM USE PERtvIIT TO <br />ALLOvV FOR OUTDOOR STORAGE IN THE E~2 EMPLOYMENT DISTRICT; . <br />CASE OF BRUCE YOLK <br />By: Megan VVald,Associate Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Bruce Volk ofB & A Cylinder has submitted an application for an Interim Use Pennit to allow for <br />outdoor storage 0 f Recreatio nal Vehicles (R V) as a secondary principal use on the property located at <br />14165 Ramsey Blvd. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your review: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Planning Commission meeting minutes dated November 6, 2003 <br />c) City Council meeting minutes dated November 25,2003 <br />d) Proposed Resolution for Findings of Fact <br />e) Proposed Resolution to approve Interim Use Permit <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />State law requires notification to properties within 350 feet of the boundaries of the subject property <br />and property owners within that radius were notified. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />LvIr. Yolk's property is approximately 4.5 acres in size and is zoned E-2 Employment. My. Volk is <br />operating a manufacturing facility as the principal use on the subject property. The applicant also <br />received an interim use permit on November 25,2003 to store RV's on the property as a secondary <br />principal use until August l, 2004. <br /> <br />The interim use permit has expired and therefore Ivu. V olk submitted another interim use permit <br />application requesting to store R V's on the subject property from December 1,2004 through August <br />l,2005. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Attached to this case is a copy of the City Council minutes from November 25, 2004, discussing IvJ:r. <br />Volk's original interim use permit request. The City Council stated some hesitance in permitting <br />intensive outside storage llses immediately surrounding the Town Center area beyond-2004 due to <br />the continued progression of the Ramsey Town Center. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission should make a recommendation to the City Council based on the request <br />by the Appllcant and discussion that occurred by the Plmming Commission and City Council during <br />review u f the200J interim use permit request. <br /> <br />23 <br />
