City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Acting Mayor LeTourneau called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at <br />7:03 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Acting Mayor LeTourneau. <br />2. PRESENTATION <br />2.01: 2016-2017 Winter Maintenance Update, Grant Riemer, Public Works <br />Superintendent <br />Public Works Superintendent Riemer presented an overview of the winter maintenance activities <br />plowing events during the 2016-2017 season. He shared the City conducted seven full scale <br />plow events and 16 minor events, most of which were 2-3 inches or ice storms. He reviewed <br />material use, stating they used 137 tons of salt for one particular ice storm and more salt than <br />sand overall because of the colder temperatures. Public Works Superintendent Riemer said the <br />weather affected outdoor rink attendance which resulted in shutting down a week early on <br />February 13. He commented that staff conducted rough mowing in February along with tree <br />pruning and moving a retaining wall block on the Public Works site. Public Works <br />Superintendent Riemer explained that staff moved 20,000 pounds of conbit material for asphalt, <br />began sweeping a week early in March, and refurbished Pump House #3. <br />City Council / April 25, 2017 <br />Page 2 of 12 <br />
