Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #17-05-112 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br />AND INTERNS <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs seasonal public works maintenance workers to <br />perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works and interns to work in <br />Administrative Services, Community Development, Engineering and Parks; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has found a significant benefit to seasonal public works maintenance <br />workers and interns; and <br />WHEREAS, staff selected 1 qualified entry level seasonal candidate; and <br />WHEREAS, staff selected 2 qualified interns; and <br />WHEREAS, all candidates passed the pre -employment screening; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring the selected 2017 candidates listed below. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Motion to adopt resolution #17-05-112 to hire the following employees: <br />1. Entry level seasonal employee: Returning for the second year: Gunnar Ledin at $10.25 <br />per hour with a start date on or near May 30, 2017. <br />2. Community Development Planning Intern: Alec Henderson at $14.00 per hour with a <br />start date on or near May 8, 2017. <br />3. Administrative Services Intern: Allyson Krattenmaker at $13.50 per hour with start <br />date on or near May 15, 2017. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
