<br />Councilmember Williams introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-05-109 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANOKA COUNTY TO WITHHOLD CERTAIN TAX <br />FORFEIT LAND FROM PUBLIC SALE AND AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF TAX <br />FORFEIT PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC PURPOSE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Outlot A TIGER MEADOWS, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br />PIN #08-32-25-23-0014, has forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes (The <br />“Subject Property A”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the parcel contains a drainage swale that directs stormwater runoff to a <br />th <br />culvert under 170 Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> it appears to be in the best interest of the City to acquire the Subject Property <br />A for drainage purposes. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESTOA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to complete the application for a state <br />use deed and any other necessary paperwork to secure ownership of the Subject Property <br />A for drainage purposes. <br /> <br />2) That the Council hereby authorizes the costs the City would incur by acquiring the tax <br />forfeit properties to be taken from the Public Improvement Revolving Fund for the <br />acquisition of Subject Property A. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
