Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #17-05-115 RESOLUTION APPROVING A BEEKEEPING LICENSE ON A RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN AS 6768 158th LANE NW. WHEREAS, Lorraine Winsor, hereinafter referred to as the "Licensee" has properly applied to the City of Ramsey (the "City") for a Beekeeping License on the property generally known as 6768 158th Lane NW and legally described as follows: That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota described as follows: Commencing at a point on the north line of said Southwest Quarter of Southeast Quarter a distance of 409.70 feet west of the northeast corner thereof, thence south at right angles to the north line of said Southwest Quarter of Southeast Quarter a distance of 468.6 feet, thence west and parallel with the north line of said Southwest Quarter of Southeast Quarter a distance of 800 feet to the point of beginning of land to be described thence continue west and parallel with the north line of said Southwest Quarter of Southeast Quarter and its westerly extension a distance of 200 feet thence south at right angles and to a point distance 355 feet north of the south line of said Section 15 as measured at right angles thereto thence east and parallel with the south line of said Section 15 and to a line drawn southerly from the point of beginning the northerly extension of said line intersecting the north line of said Southwest Quarter of Southeast Quarter at right angles thereto thence north to the point of beginning Subject to an easement for road purpose over the north 33 feet thereof (Subject to easement of record) ("Subject Property") WHEREAS, the request appears to meet or exceed all conditions outlined in the Ramsey City Code Section 10-1(f) pertaining to beekeeping; and WHEREAS, the City Council met on May 23, 2017 to review the request for a Beekeeping License. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a Beekeeping License is hereby granted to Licensee to maintain honeybees on the Subject Property. 2) That the Licensee shall comply with all provisions of Ramsey City Code Section 10-1(f).
