Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #17-05-121 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-11; GROUND PENETRATING RADAR <br />PAVEMENT EVALUATIONS FOR 2017 — 2026 STREET RECONSTRUCTIN AND <br />OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, City staff proposes to use ground penetrating radar to evaluate existing <br />pavement sections on all streets proposed to be reconstructed or milled and overlaid per the 2017 <br />- 2026 Capital Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, requests for proposals were submitted to two contractors for the purpose of <br />obtaining quotes for completing the proposed services; and <br />WHEREAS, quotes were received from th e two contractors on M ay 16 , 2017, and <br />were found to comply with the request for proposals; and <br />WHEREAS, the two quotes received are tabulated below; and <br />1 Contractor Phase 1 Quote Phase 2 Quote Total Quote <br />1 Braun Intertec Corp. $7,795 $10,290 $18,085 <br />1 American Engineering Testing, Inc. $7,450 $15,800 $23,250 <br />WHEREAS, the quote of Braun Intertec Corporation in the amount of $18,085 for the <br />total quote for said services in accordance with the prepared proposal is the lowest responsible <br />quote and their quote shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Braun Intertec Corporation for said s ervices for and on behalf of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
