Every year, the International Code Council sponsors Building Safety Month in May to
raise awareness of the important work that our Building Inspection Division staff does year-round
to ensure the safety of the buildings where we live, work, and play. This week’s theme is
“Investing in Technology for Safety, Energy & Water Efficiency”. Building codes are enforced
to help ensure our buildings are constructed safely. But did you know that these building codes
can also help make your home or business more energy efficient, use less water, and conserve
resources? For all Building Code related questions, please contact our Building Division Hotline
at 763.433.9850.

Update - Anoka County Library On-The-Go.
Due to the marked decrease in usage over the
last few years, and that all available iPads are no longer supported by Apple’s latest iOS operating
system (iOS 10), the iPad dispenser will no longer be available at either the Ramsey Municipal
Center or the Mississippi Library locations. Library staff will begin notifying patrons of the change
in service as well as work on removing the iPad dispensers in the next few week. The library
service with the lockers, vending machine, and return box will continue as usual.
