CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ralnsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CAI,L TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor' Gamcc called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:04 p.m. and called <br />upon Counci hnember Strommen to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced Councilmember Pearson is not present tonight, as he has just <br />undergone heart surgery. <br /> <br />Tile Ramsey Lions Club presented the City Council with a donation of $30,000 towards the <br />construction of a community building at Central Park. It was noted the Ramsey Lions intend to <br />fully fired the construction. Mayor Gamec thanked the Ramsey Lions for all of their <br />contributions to the community, and their service for the citizens of Ramsey. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Erick Zaetsch, 6521 154tt~ Lane NW, stated he is here to discuss item #9 on the consent agenda, <br />which should be on tile regular agenda. There has never been a definitive word from the Council <br />about moving City Hall, which is a 15.8 million dollar item, and now it is on the consent agenda. <br />The last minutes fi'om the worksession show there is an $800,000 cost just to bring this to <br />bidding, and not even to move any dirt.
