CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, August 31, 2004, <br />at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Bruce Jacobson of Close Landscape and Architecture <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:17 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agcnda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Town Ceuter Park & Trail Plan <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson explained the proposal for the Town Center Park and <br />Trail Plan bad been presented at 4.2 million dollars, with an additional $1,500 per building <br />permit to go towards improvem, ents at Civic Square Park and Downtown Commons. <br /> <br />City Administrator N~'~man explained the $1,500 per building permit came about as a gesture of <br />good will fi'om Mr. l-'cges of his long-term commitment to Town Center.
