PC# [ <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A PATROL OFFICER <br /> By: Givonna Reed <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On September 28, 2004, staff received authorization to begin the recruitment process for <br />a patrol officer. Staff has since completed an intemat recruitment process that included <br />four eligible applicants. All four applicants were interviewed and staff is recommending <br />hiring Nicholas Dahlberg for the Patrol Officer position. <br /> <br />A pre-employment background investigation was conducted by the police department on <br />Mr. Dahlberg. Mr. Dahlberg's background investigation, psychological and physical <br />agility exam were all reported as satisfactory. Mr. Dahlberg has also successfully <br />completed a pre-employment physical and drag screen. <br /> <br />Staff' Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Nicholas Dahlberg be hired to fill the new Patrol Officer position <br />at an hourly rate of $18.50. All other personnel policies and LELS contract provisions <br />will apply normally.
