Councilmember __ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION//04-10-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING QUOTES AND AWARD CONTRACT FOR ARMSTRONG <br />BOULEVARD WATERMAIN EXTENSION (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 04-35) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council authorized the construction of Sunwood Drive <br />NW and Rhinestone Street NW Utility and Street Improvements (Improvement Project 04-35); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this work included extension of sanitary sewer and watermain south of <br />Highway 10 at Armstrong Boulevard; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Norfolk Office Building, located in the southeast quadrant of Armstrong <br />and Riverdale Drive, has requested connection to city water; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, quotations have been solicited for extending watermain along Armstrong <br />Boulevard from Highway 10 to Riverdale Drive based on plans prepared by Hakanson Anderson <br />Associates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following five (5) quotations were received for Armstrong Boulevard <br />Watermain Extension: <br /> <br />Contractor Quote $ <br />Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. $38,592.00 <br />Hydrocon, Inc. $38,708.00 <br />W.B. Miller $39,297.80 <br />Kober Excavating $49,903.50 <br />Glenn Rehbein Excavating, Inc. $51,859.40 <br />Engineers Estimate $38,745.00 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for <br />Armstrong Boulevard Watermain Extension (Improvement Project 04-35) in the amount <br />of $38,592.00. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> ., and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> <br />
