Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #04-10-XXX <br /> <br />RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR <br /> <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #04-30, BRIDGE NO. 02569 RHINESTONE STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 13, 2004, City Council adopted Resolution #04-07-178 approving <br />the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #04-30, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the three lowest quotes that were received: <br /> <br /> Bidder <br />Redstone Construction <br />Robert Schroeder Construction <br />Lunda Construction Company <br />Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br />$999,279.30 <br />$1,061,369.90 <br />$1,117,689.40 <br />$924,810.33 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Redstone Construction is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Restone Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />construction of Improvement Project #04-30 in the amount of $999,279.30. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />__, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
