CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, September 21, 2004, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Assistant Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Associate Planner Megan Wald <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 7:06 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to approve the agenda <br />as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Pearson, Elvig, Cook, Kurak, and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberStrommen. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated there has been a tragic incident that took place in the City in the last couple <br />of weeks. He commended the area police for their response to this situation. He stated this has <br />affected their community quite a bit. Ramsey is not unique in a lot of the situations happening <br />through the United States, and this is very tragic.
