CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 28, 2004, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:06 p.m. and called <br />upon Councihnember Elvig to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec offered sympathies to the Plessel and Fisher families for recent incidents in the <br />City of Ramsey. He thanked all the agencies and everyone that helped out with this incident. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec thanked the law enforcement officers and reserves for all the time they put in with <br />the president coming to town, the teen dance, Happy Days, and the homicide investigation. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig reviewed an email he received from resident Jay Jagerson, residing on the <br />corner of 158th and Varolite, inquiring about the construction time frame for the proposed trail <br />between the existing trail on Alpine and to Central Park on Variolite or Armstrong Boulevard. <br />Mr. Jagerson raised the point that he has to drive to Central Park, which is only two blocks away, <br />due to the amount of traffic, and that Central Park is one of the City's largest parks and there is <br /> <br />City Council/September 28, 2004 <br /> Page 2 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
