Staff is requesting authorization to initiate the appraisal process for obtaining a trail .
easement across this parcel.

Easements have been obtained from the property owners listed in the June 15, 2004 Public works
case. They are:

Parcel Number Address Owner
· Parcel I 15700 St Francis Blvd Prokopio
· Parcel 2 15910 St Francis Blvd Geving/Dargavel

· Parcel 3

15916 St Francis Blvd Miller

S tams
Completed
Need to resolve trail conflict
with Septic System
Closing Pending

Investi gation of Parcel 2 after negotiations for the easement started indicated the existing septic
system is in the easement area. Staff has investigated several options for remediatioff of the
conflict and is in contact with the property owner to select an appropriate solution.

Parcel 3 has cha~2ged ownership and revised easement documents listing the new owners are
being drafted. Closing will occur when the changes are complete.

Action:

Staff recommends that the Committee recommend to City Council that an appraisal be ordered
for this parcel.

Reviewed by:

Director of Public Works
Assistant Public Works Director
Parks/Utilih es Supervisor

PW: 10/19/04
