Voting No: None. <br /> <br />c) Appointment/Reappointment of Chairman, Vice Chairman and <br /> Secretary to the Board of Adjustment: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember <br />Van Wagner to reappoint Council members to serve as Chairperson, <br />Vice Chairperson and Secretary to the Board of Adjustment: <br /> <br />1) Chairperson, Board of Adjustment: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />2) Vice Chairperson, Board of Adjustment: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />3) Secretary, Board of Adjustment: Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, <br />Sorteberg, Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />d) Appoint/Reappoint Council Economic Development Commission: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec - I feel this Commission should be handled much the <br />same as Planning and Zoning or Park and that it should be made <br />up of committees such as legislative, financial, housing, etc. <br />We should also be more selective of the people appointed to <br />serve on this commission. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox agreed that EDC had not accomplished much in <br />the last two years and that he would like to see someone appointed, <br />very soon, to make some positive movement in regards to taxing <br />when it comes up in legislation. Present EDC needs some organiza- <br />tion, direction and information. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that Coon Rapids has an excellent <br />EDC Commission and maybe Ramsey should meet with their commission <br />members and get some direction on how to organize an effective <br />EDC Commission. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox and Councilmember Sorteberg agreed to set the <br />next EDC meeting for January 20, 1982 and further that they will <br />meet with Mr. Schnelle January 13, 1982 to try and resolve the <br />direction that has to be taken by the EDC Commission. <br /> <br />e) Designation of Official Newspaper for the CitS of Ramses: <br /> <br />Motion b~ Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember <br />Cox designating the Anoka County Union as the City of Ramsey's <br />official newspaper. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
