CASE # <br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR AN INTERIM USE PERMIT TO <br />ALLOW FOR OUTDOOR STORAGE IN THE E-2 EMPLOYMENT DISTRICT; <br />CASE OF BRUCE VOLK <br /> By: Megan Wald, Associate Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Bruce Volk of B & A Cylinder has submitted an application for an Interim Use Permit to allow for <br />outdoor storage of Recreational Vehicles (RV) as a secondary principal use on the property located at <br />14165 Ramsey Blvd. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your review: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br />e) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Plarming Commission meeting minutes dated November 6, 2003 <br />City Council meeting minutes dated November 25, 2003 <br />Draft Planning Commission meeting minutes dated October 7, 2004 <br />Proposed Resolution for Findings of Fact <br />Proposed Resolution to approve Interim Use Permit <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />State law requires notification to properties within 350 feet of the boundaries of the subject property <br />and property owners within that radius were notified. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Mr. Volk's property is approximately 4.5 acres in size and is zoned E-2 Employment: Mr. Volk is <br />operating a manufacturing facility as the principal use on the subject property. The applicant received <br />an interim use permit on November 25, 2003 to store RV's on the property as a secondary principal <br />use until August 1, 2004. <br /> <br />The interim use permit has expired and therefore Mr. Volk submitted an interim use permit <br />application requesting to store RV's on the subject property from November 1,2004 through August <br />1, 2005. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing and reviewed the request at their October 7, 2004 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Thc Planning Commission recommended approving the interim use permit request effective <br />November l, 2004 and expiring August 1, 2005. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Findings of Fact relating to a request from Bruce Volk for an interim use permit for <br />outdoor storage as a secondary principal Use at 14165 Ramsey Blvd. <br /> <br /> <br />
