The <br />Applicant has asked for at le~i~ ~)~ee-yea~ Interim Use Pe~it to allow for the operation of a <br />church in the E-1 Zoning Distri~-:.;Ci:~¢C.ode states that an Interim Use Pe~it can be granted up <br />to a maximum of five: years. '":ii i~}~f~,s feeling that the Pla~ing Commission should <br />reco~nend allowing for. the: ~terim Use~ to be granted for a total of five years. It is Staff's <br />belief that allowing for the:Intet~ Use P~i~'}o be in erect for the full five years will allow the <br />Applicant to have the needed:fleXibili~ in securing the prope~ and constructing a pe~anent <br /> <br />Staff has reviewed the use and fihd~ that it is compatible with the s~ounding area. The majori~ <br /> ~ ;.<.' ,f <br />of activin' contemplated by:the;Applicant will occur on Sunday or during the evenings when <br />most of the su~oUnd,~g businesses are closed. The parking lot that se~es the building in which <br />the temporary Church Mll be located has 83 parking stalls. The Applicant is pla~ing for a <br />maxilnmn of 04_ worshipers fbr Mass. (It should be noted that the Applicant is creating a new <br />parish and has nowhere near that dumber of members yet. Under Ci~ Code, places of assembly <br />require a parking space tbr eve~ t~ee seats. Therefore a total of 114 parking ~talls would need <br />to be provided.
