Councilmember XXXXX introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION #17-06-134 <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />REGARDING A PROPOSED BUSINESS SUBSIDY TO BE GRANTED TO PSD, <br />LLC. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") for the City of Ramsey, Minnesota (the <br />"City"), as follows: <br />Section 1. Public Hearing. This Council shall meet on July 25, 2017, at approximately 7:00 P.M., <br />to hold a public hearing on the proposed granting of a business subsidy, pursuant to and in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes, Sections 116J.993 to 116J.995, inclusive, as amended. The proposed subsidy involves <br />the construction of an approximately 58,000 square foot industrial building in the City of Ramsey and will <br />result in an increase in the tax base of the City. The creation or retention of jobs is not a goal of the subsidy; <br />and <br />Section 2. Notice of Public Hearing. City staff is authorized and directed to work with Ehlers & <br />Associates, Inc., to cause notice of the hearing to be published at least once in the official newspaper of the <br />City not later than 10, nor more than 30, days prior to July 25, 2017, and to place a copy of the business <br />subsidy agreement on file in the City Administrator's office at City Hall and to make such copy available <br />for inspection by the public. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 13th day of June, 2017. <br />Sarah Strommen, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Jo Ann M.
