<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-05-120 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING METRO MUNICIPAL AGREEMENT PROGRAM <br />FUNDING APPLICATION FOR HIGHWAY 10 NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD <br />IMPROVEMENTS BETWEEN RAMSEY BOULEVARD AND SUNFISH LAKE <br />BOULEVARD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey desires to construct frontage road improvements north <br />of U.S. Highway 10 and to realign westbound U.S. Highway 10 between Ramsey Boulevard and <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Ramsey’s 2017 – 2026 Capital Improvement Program identifies <br />this project for construction in calendar years 2019 – 2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />this improvement project is identified as an immediate priority in the <br />Highway 10 Access Planning Study completed in 2014 as a partnership between the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation and the Anoka County Highway Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City represents that this project provides a clear benefit to the Trunk <br />Highway system, as well as to the local community, allowing the project to receive grant funding <br />through the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Metro Municipal Agreement <br />Program at the maximum available amount of $710,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City owns several properties, and is in the process of securing another <br />property, north of U.S. Highway 10 between Ramsey Boulevard and Sunfish Lake Boulevard in <br />preparation for this public improvement project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City has the capability to adequately fund its local cost share for this <br />public improvement project in the estimated amount of $1,200,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City is pursuing funds from other funding programs to cover all <br />remaining costs for this public improvement project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City agrees to comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated <br />in the grant agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City has the necessary capabilities to adequately develop, implement, <br />manage, and maintain this public improvement project. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
