<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-05-121 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF <br />CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-11; GROUND PENETRATING <br />RADAR PAVEMENT EVALUATIONS FOR 2017 – 2026 STREET RECONSTRUCTIN <br />AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />City staff proposes to use ground penetrating radar to evaluate existing <br />pavement sections on all streets proposed to be reconstructed or milled and overlaid per the 2017 <br />- 2026 Capital Improvement Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />requests for proposals were submitted to two contractors for the purpose of <br />obtaining quotes for completing the proposed services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />quotes were received from the two contractors on May 16, 2017, and <br />were found to comply with the request for proposals; and <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the two quotes received are tabulated below; and <br /> <br />Contractor Phase 1 Quote Phase 2 Quote Total Quote <br />Braun Intertec Corp. $7,795 $10,290 $18,085 <br />American Engineering Testing, Inc. $7,450 $15,800 $23,250 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the quote of Braun Intertec Corporation in the amount of $18,085 for the <br />total quote for said services in accordance with the prepared proposal is the lowest responsible <br />quote and their quote shall be and hereby is accepted. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Braun Intertec Corporation for said services for and on behalf of the City <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />LeTourneau, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> <br /> <br />
