<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-05-122 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-12; SOIL BORINGS AND GEOTECHNICAL <br />REPORTS FOR 2018 AND 2019 STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND OVERLAY <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />soil borings and Geotechnical Reports are required to accurately evaluate <br />and design all proposed 2018 and 2019 street reconstruction and mill and overlay improvements <br />as identified in the 2017 - 2026 Capital Improvement Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />requests for proposals were submitted to two contractors for the purpose of <br />obtaining quotes for completing the proposed services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />quotes were received from the two contractors on May 16, 2017, and <br />were found to comply with the request for proposals; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the two quotes received are tabulated below; and <br /> <br />Contractor Total Quote <br />Braun Intertec Corp. $9,686 <br />American Engineering Testing, Inc. $13,100 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the quote of Braun Intertec Corporation in the amount of $9,686 for the total <br />quote for said services in accordance with the prepared proposal is the lowest responsible quote <br />and their quote shall be and hereby is accepted. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Braun Intertec Corporation for said services for and on behalf of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Williams, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br /> <br />
