I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox praised General Mills for their intentions to proceed <br />to develop in the State of Minnesota in light of the way taxes are today. <br /> <br />Case #3 - Legal Regarding the Following Issues: 1) Bison Street; 2) <br /> Notice of Intent to Appeal Special ASsessment Project ~81-14; <br /> 3) Resolution Regarding RezoningApplications for Wes Bulen <br /> and Julian Schmidt. <br /> <br />a) Bison Street - Mr. Goodrich presented photo of Bison Street easements <br /> superimposed with a photo showing easements in their properr place. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg, <br />authorizing City Attorney, on behalf of the City of Ramsey, to ent6r into <br />a settlement with Mr. Hinton whereby the road remains in its present <br />location ~til it receives permanent improvements and/or utilities. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Van Wagner - would there be any problem <br />moving the road next spring? Mr. Goodrich - that isn't necessary until <br />we b~acktop. Councilmember Reimann - This agreement would initiate a <br />legal doc~nent regarding setback, etc., that would come up when building <br />permits are applied for. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent' Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />b) Appeal of Special Assessment Project #81-14 <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich - On October 23, 1981, Ramsey was served with a Notice of <br />Intent to Appeal Assessments regarding Project #81-14. I don't feel it <br />was a valid action. <br /> <br />c) Resolution Regarding Rezoning Applications for Wes Bulen and Julian <br /> Schmidt. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich read the proposed resolution out loud. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox - Feels it is a good idea to hire a professional planner. <br />This is going to be a political decision and we should have more back- <br />ground information. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich - Plaaner ca~ tell us what we can expect in the future if we <br />decide to rezone this area and we will be drawing up separate contracts <br />for each applicant in this case. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />adopt Resolution #81-187 regarding RezoningApplications for Wes Bulen and <br />Julian Schmidt. (see resolution file for Resolution #81-187). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Reimann, Cox, Sorteberg and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No' None. Absent: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />Case #4 Acceptance of Lot 6, BloCk 2, Gorham's Sandy Acres from Mr. Gary <br /> <br /> Gorham <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle Mr. Gorhamhas been advised by his attorney that for tax <br /> <br />C/November 10, 1981 <br /> Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
