The Applicant would like to be able to utilize the space for <br />offices and hold Mass as well as provide for other services from the building. <br /> <br />The Applicant is proposing to utilize 13,440 square feet of the building located at 6930 <br />McKinley St. The Applicant is proposing to remodel the warehouse to have a worship area as <br />well as parish offices. It is the City's understanding that the Applicant is actively looking for <br />property in Ramsey on which to construct a pentaanent facility. <br /> <br />The E-1 Employment Zoning District does not expressly permit churches or other places of <br />worship. Tbie E-1 Employment Zoning District does allow for offices as a permitted use. The <br />Applicant has asked ibr at least a three-year. Interim Use Permit to allow for the operation of a <br />church in the E-1 Zoning District. City Code states that an Interim Use Permit can be ~anted up <br />to a maximum of five years. It is Staff's feeling that the Planning Cormnission should <br />recommend allowing tbr the Interim Use Peri'nit to be ~anted for a total of five years.
