Motion by Councitmember Cook, seconded by Councilrnember Elvig, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Finance Committee and adopt Resolution #04-09-265 to approve the <br />Proposed Maximum 2004, Payable 2005, Tax Levy. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Etvig, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Strommen. and Zi~mnennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councitmember Cook, to schedule the City of <br />Rmnsey's initial budget public hearing on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. and a <br />reconvene date (if necessary) on Monday, December 13, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Stro~mnen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Kurak noted due to the excess from building fees and <br />perm/ts they did not have to levy as much this year. She noted last year Finance Officer Lurid <br />had an article in the Ramsey Resident explaining this in simple language, and it would be well <br />worth it to run that article again. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Amending Chapter 3 and Repealing and Replacing Section 3.40 <br />Entitled "City Funds" <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig indicated the adoption of this ordinance incorporates all of the funds the <br />City currently utilizes.
