Absent: None. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />The following Council minutes were noted: <br /> <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated August 19, 2002 <br />2) City Council regular meeting minutes dated September 11, 2002 <br />3) City Council regular meeting minutes dated September 24, 2002 <br />4) City Council regular meeting minutes dated October 8, 2002 <br />5) City Council regular meeting minutes dated October 22, 2002 <br /> <br />Commissioner Reeve stated he is missing several pages from the September 11, 2002 meeting <br />minutes. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt explained the gas station applicant modified the site plan so a variance was not <br />needed. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request for a Home Occupation Permit; Case of Pamela Boshea <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:36 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated the City received an application from Pamela <br />Boshea for a home occupation permit to establish a one-chair hair salon in her home located at <br />6210 179th Lane NW. City Code restricts home occupations to 20% of the gross floor area of the <br />home. The room in which the home occupation will take place is 120 square feet (10 x 12), <br />which equates to 5% (120 / 2,308) of the gross floor area. Pamela will be the sole employee and <br />she expects to service a maximum of 3 to 4 clients per day (20 clients per week).
