There will be some property in the one-acre range becoming <br />available early next year. <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley clarified this information regarding the tax base and employees would lead <br />Economic Development / TIF Specialist Sullivan towards the office/professional building, and <br />that this would not close this site out to the other two businesses at this time. Economic <br />Development / TIF Specialist Sullivan responded in the affirmative and explained there will still <br />be a negotiating process to go through. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Gromberg to direct staff to proceed into negotiations with the <br />office/professional building and to bring this information back to the EDA at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Member Kiefer inquired about the difference in 'square footage of the <br />machine shops, as the proposed square footage is the same for both buildings. Economic <br />Development / TIF Specialist Sullivan replied this is due to the finish on the inside of the <br />building. <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Member LeTourneau. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Members Gromberg, Kiefer, LeTourneau, and <br />Steffen. Voting No: None. Absent: Members Kurak and Strommen. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Chairperson Riley stated he would like to see the same kind of information <br />presented to the EDA in the future as was presented with this case. Economic Development / <br />TIF Specialist Sullivan replied he will try to get everything he can to the EDA when he has time. <br />He explained sometimes there is a need to move quickly. <br /> <br />Case/14: Staff Update <br /> <br />Economic Development / TIF Specialist Sullivan reviewed the staff update with the EDA. He <br />announced the Business Network Meeting will be held on October 26th. <br /> <br />Economic Development / TIF Specialist Sullivan requested direction from the EDA regarding <br />distribution o1~' the remaining Balancing Growth and Don't Break the Bank brochures. He <br />explained staff' would suggest mailing the marketing pieces to the same recipients in an attempt <br />to keep Ramsey fresh in their minds when thinking about future development plans. He inquired <br />if the EDA would like to make any additions to the distribution list. <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley inquired if this mailing will take care of the remaining brochures. Economic <br />Development / TIF Specialist Sullivan replied it will take care of a good number of the <br />brochures.
