<br />Associate Planner Geisler stated that the City received an application from Chad and Lisa <br />Lindgren for a home occupation permit to establish a one-chair hair salon in their home located <br />at 5561 145111 Circle NW. <br /> <br />City Code restricts home occupations to 20% of the gross floor area of the home. The room in <br />which the home occupation will take place is approximately 138 square feet, which equates to <br />about 7% of the gross floor area. Mrs. Lindgren will be the sole employee. Proposed operating <br />hours are Tuesdays 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesdays 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Thursdays 3:00 PM- <br />8:00 PM, and Saturdays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. There will be few if any deliveries to the site and <br />client parking can be accommodated in the applicant's driveway. The applicants expect to <br />receive approximately 8-24 clients per week. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jeffrey, seconded by Commissioner Brauer, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Jeffrey, Brauer, <br />Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt and Commissioner Van <br />Scoy. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7: 19 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Johnson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to <br />order at 7: 19 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer thought this was pretty much in line with what they have done before. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Watson, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to Chad and Lisa Lindgren's request for a home <br />occupation permit. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Brauer, Watson, <br />Jeffrey, Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt and <br />Commissioner Van Scoy. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, to recommend that City <br />Council approve Chad and Lisa Lindgren's request for a home occupation permit based on the <br />findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion Carried.
