Jo Thieling L ./27/t? CC-WC /9/) '
From: Tafoya Salon and Day Spa <tafoyasalon@aol,com>
Sent: Monday,June 26, 2017 3:58 PM
•
To: Mark Kuzma
Cc: Sarah Strommen;John LeTourneau; Kristine Williams;Tim Gladhill
Subject: Puma/Alpine Paxmar Project
I am writing to let you know my thoughts on this project. My address is 15130 Kangaroo Street where 3 homes will be
butted up to my and my neighbors homes with 1 acre lots
and have lived there for 40 years. And, even if you don't hear from other neighbors they have told me they
are not pleased about this.
I read in the newspaper that 440 homes are going back in that area on both sides of Puma. That will mean at
least 800 more vehicles driving in that neighborhood
at least 1 to 8 times a day!!! Which brings me to traffic control. There are only 2 ways out of
there. Alpine and Armstrong or Hwy10 at Alpine which is so very dangerous
to try to cross with the curve and the high speeds everyone drives. We will need a light at Armstrong
and Alpine, and a light at Hwy10 and Alpine to be able to get all these
people in and out of the neighborhood.
If this particular section has been 'low density' in the comprehensive plan for at least 30 years there is
no reason to change it now just because a developer wants to cram in as
many homes/town homes as possible. The planning commission that I attended was concerned
about creating a development pattern that was incompatible with the surrounding area
and they are spot on!
Hoping to hear some good news.
Sincerely,
Mary and George Tafoya
15130 Kangaroo Street N.W.
Ramsey, MN 55303
Tafoya Salon and Day Spa
2160 Northdale Boulevard
Coon Rapids MN 55434
763.427.0511
www.TafoyaSalon.Net
1
